THE BNP PARIBAS FOUNDATION IS COMMITTED TO THE FESTIVAL PIANO AUX JACOBINS
Fondation BNP Paribas renews its support for the Toulouse festival Piano aux Jacobins, continuing a collaboration initiated in 1987. The commitment of the BNP Paribas Foundation allows the festival to strengthen its artistic program and increase its influence. By reinforcing a particularly incentive-based pricing policy, this partnership also contributes to making the piano repertoire, including piano-jazz, and its performers more widely known to a non-initiated public. Discoveries of young pianists and varied aesthetics, new encounters with confirmed musicians, openness to the greatest number: the spirit that presides over the festival Piano aux Jacobins is that of a party which has been participating for more than thirty years, numerous employees, customers and shareholders of BNP Paribas.
Since its creation in 1984, the BNP Paribas Foundation has decided to enter the classical music scene by supporting young musicians at the beginning of their career. She then weaves collaborations with the Marguerite Long-Jacques Thibaud Competition and the Samson-François Foundation, for which she will remain faithful for a long time, as well as with the AFAA’s Déclic program. It is also a common cause with festivals that make room for youth, including the Orangery Festival de Sceaux. She also accompanies the beginnings of the Ysaÿe Quartet, soprano Françoise Pollet and flutist Benoît Fromanger, who have since become great names in the international music scene. This support to the emergence of new talent has not been denied over the years: today, relaying the partnership woven by BNP Paribas Fortis in Belgium with the Queen Elisabeth International Musical Competition of Belgium (CMIREB), the Foundation promotes contacts and international tours for the laureates.
In addition to its support for the Piano aux Jacobins festival, the BNP Paribas Foundation is a partner in France for several major musical events: L’Esprit du Piano in Bordeaux and Lille Piano (s) Festival. Around the world, BNP Paribas and its subsidiaries are also present alongside major festivals (Flamand International Festival in Brussels, Echternach Festival in Luxembourg and Rising Stars BNP Paribas Piano Festival in Beijing and Shanghai) and prestigious institutions of life. Musical: Opera National de Paris, Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra, Academia di Santa Cecilia in Rome.
